Meet the Porsche 718 12V Kids Electric Ride-On Car
Some ride-on cars borrow a car shape. This one carries the Porsche licence. The First Ride On Porsche 718 12V Kids Electric Ride-On Car is officially licensed by Porsche Germany, and it shows — the crest on the hood, the Spyder roadster bodywork, headlamps that actually light up, and taillights that glow when your child lifts off the pedal.
Underneath the styling it is a properly built 12V car — a 12V 7Ah battery, dual 25W motors, and three speed settings spanning 1.9 to 3.7 mph. It comes with a 2.4G parent remote, a two-point seat belt, and lockable doors. Riders up to 66 lbs, which puts it squarely in the 3–6 window. Available in four colours: black, white, yellow, and pink.

Why This Porsche 718 12V Ride-On Car Is Worth the Premium
A Genuine Porsche Licence, Not Just a Badge Shape
The licence is the whole point of this car. It is officially licensed by Porsche Germany, so the proportions, roadster silhouette, wheel design, and badging were built to match the real 718 Spyder rather than approximate it. For a child old enough to recognise the shape, that recognition is most of the fun — and for a parent it is the difference between a themed toy and a licensed one.
Soft Start Is the Detail Parents Notice First
Look at how the speed line rises in the image below. A normal ride-on snaps the motor to full power the instant the pedal moves; this one ramps toward the target speed over about a second. For a three-year-old that difference decides whether the first drive ends in delight or in tears. Combined with shock-absorbing suspension and front and rear dampers, the car stays settled over paving stones and lawn edges.

Three Speeds From 1.9 to 3.7 mph
There are three speed settings running from 1.9 to 3.7 mph. The bottom setting is genuinely gentle enough for a three-year-old getting used to the pedal; the top one feels properly quick to a six-year-old without being out of reach on a driveway or garden path. That is the whole point of three settings rather than two.

Remote Control First, Foot Pedal When They Are Ready
This is the transition ride. Out of the box, an adult drives with the 2.4G remote — full throttle and steering from the walker's hand. When your child is ready, they switch to the foot pedal and drive themselves. Both paths run through the same soft-start behaviour, so the handover does not produce a surge.
Seat Belt, Lockable Doors, and Details That Go Further Than the Badge
Three things separate a car that feels safe from one that just looks safe: the two-point seat belt, the lockable doors, and the shock-absorbing rear design. Look closely and the detailing holds up too — the alloy-style wheels with red brake calipers, the Porsche crest on the steering wheel hub, and the real LED taillight rather than a printed sticker.
A Dashboard With Six Ways to Play
The dashboard is not a single-function MP3 player. It carries radio, music, stories, MP3, and USB, plus a startup sound and a speaker. The storytelling mode is the one children tend to discover on their own — it turns a ten-minute drive into a half-hour one.

Carry It With One Hand When the Battery Runs Low
This is the practical bit most parents only notice afterwards. There is a pull handle at the front and extra rear wheels, so when the charge drops you tip it back and tow it to the garage yourself — instead of lifting 30.9 lbs of car by yourself.

Is this Porsche 718 ride-on really officially licensed?
Yes. It is licensed by Porsche Germany, which is why the bodywork, badging, and wheel design follow the real 718 Spyder instead of approximating a generic sports car.
What ages and weight limits does this 12V ride-on car have?
Rated for ages 3–6 with a 66 lbs / 30 kg maximum load. That is the same across all four colours.
How many speeds does it have and how fast does it go?
Three speed settings spanning 1.9 to 3.7 mph (3–6 km/h). Start on the lowest setting and move up as your child gets used to the pedal.
Does it come with a remote control?
Yes — a 2.4G remote is included, so an adult can drive or take over at any time. The car also has a foot pedal, so your child can switch to driving themselves whenever they have the confidence.
Can the doors be locked and does it have a seat belt?
Both. The doors lock, and there is a two-point safety belt. Always supervise, use the belt, lock the doors, and keep to flat, stable surfaces.
What music and audio can it play?
The dashboard supports radio, music, stories, MP3, and USB, plus a startup sound and a speaker. Bluetooth is also available.
How long does the battery last and how long does charging take?
Expect about 45 minutes of drive time and 8–12 hours for a full charge on the included 12V 1000mA charger. Overnight charging is the normal routine.
How do I move it once they are finished?
There is a front pull handle and extra rear wheels. Tip it back onto the rear wheels and pull — much easier than lifting 30.9 lbs of car.

This ride-on car is absolutely adorable and has been a huge hit with our kids. It’s perfectly sized for toddlers and preschoolers, especially in the 2–5 year range. A 6-year-old can still ride it, but it does feel a bit small at that age.
Assembly was simple and straightforward, and everything was easy to set up. The battery life has been excellent so far — the kids played for hours and it still had charge left at the end of the day. Charging is also very easy with a simple plug-in system.
It drives well on both pavement and grass, and includes forward and reverse functions, which work smoothly. We also really like the parent remote control option for added safety, which is very useful for younger children (just requires a switch on the vehicle to activate).
It also includes built-in music and stories, which adds to the fun. Overall, it’s a very enjoyable ride-on with great features and has been a fantastic purchase for our family.
At first, I was a little concerned because there weren’t many reviews, but this product completely exceeded my expectations.
My son absolutely loves it and has been enjoying it a lot. The details and features are really impressive, especially the functional radio with Bluetooth, horn, and working front and rear lights.
The battery life also seems very good so far — we’ve had several rides without needing to recharge, and it’s still going strong.
Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to other parents. It turned out to be much better than I expected.
I bought this Porsche ride-on car as a gift for my son, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. He absolutely loves it and enjoys every ride.
The design is very detailed and closely resembles the full-size Porsche, from the body shape and wheels to the lights and even the logo on the steering wheel. It really feels like a miniature version of the real vehicle, which makes it even more exciting for kids.
It offers two driving modes: children can drive it on their own, or parents can use the remote control, which is very helpful for younger kids who are still learning. The controls are intuitive and easy to use, making it convenient for parents as well.
The build quality feels solid and durable, with smooth finishes that make it safe and comfortable for children.
Overall, this is a fantastic gift choice and brings a lot of joy. I would definitely recommend it to other parents.
I bought this for my grandson’s first birthday, and it turned out to be a perfect gift. He really likes it and was excited as soon as he saw it.
It’s a fun and engaging ride-on that immediately caught his attention and has kept him happily entertained. Seeing how much joy it brought him made the purchase very worthwhile.
Overall, I’m very happy with it and would definitely recommend it as a birthday gift for young children.
The seatbelt is exceptionally big and doesn’t secure very well if at all. Battery life seems to be good so far and rolls through the grass (except more of a grade hill…think mini sled hill perfect for a 3yr old) it does struggle some.
It was easy to assemble, with easy to follow directions.
We take it on rides around the neighborhood regularly. It holds a charge for a significant amount of time. We can take it out multiple times before needing to charge again. We will eventually need to replace the plastic tires from driving on the concrete but overall good quality.
Has 3 speed levels and a park option. It also has a functioning radio and connects to Bluetooth. Has little horn buttons that my daughter loves to press repeatedly. Functioning headlights, although not very bright.
We have to hide the car or she will beg to ride in it if she sees it. Cannot recommend this car enough!
It’s rare to find a company that stands behind their service like this. Their honesty, professionalism, and excellent customer care gave me a lot of confidence. I highly recommend First Ride on Company to anyone looking for a trustworthy place to buy a car
