Description

Most ride-on cars use a lead-acid battery that takes 8–12 hours to charge. This one doesn't. The First Ride On Mercedes-AMG F1 W16 runs a 21.6V 5Ah lithium-ion pack that charges in 3–4 hours and delivers the same power as a 24V 7Ah lead-acid battery — roughly 70–80 minutes of run time per charge.

It's officially licensed by the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team and modelled on the 2025 W16, with a low single-seat cockpit, dual 100W motors, and a top speed of 7.5 km/h (4.7 mph). The lithium pack also makes the car noticeably lighter, which matters more than you'd think when you're the one carrying it back to the garage.

  • Lithium-ion battery — 3–4 hour charge vs 8–12 hours for lead-acid, 70–80 min run time
  • Dual 100W motors — up to 7.5 km/h / 4.7 mph with soft start and soft stop
  • Officially licensed Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team — 2025 W16 styling, single-seat cockpit
  • Dual control modes — kids drive themselves, or parents take over by 2.4G remote
  • Bluetooth, USB, AUX, volume control, battery display — a proper dashboard, not just a horn
  • Rear spring suspension + red LED taillight — comfortable on pavement, looks the part at dusk

Why the Lithium Battery Is the Headline Feature

3–4 Hours to Charge, Not 8–12

This is the single biggest practical difference. A lead-acid ride-on charges overnight; this one charges over lunch. That means a morning ride, a charge while the kids eat and nap, and a second ride the same afternoon. Rated run time is 70–80 minutes, which is longer than most 24V cars at a comparable price.

Same Power as 24V Lead-Acid, Less Weight

The 21.6V 5Ah lithium pack is specified to match a traditional 24V 7Ah lead-acid battery in performance. Because lithium packs are lighter, the car itself is easier to lift, move, and store — no small thing when the “garage” is actually a hallway closet. The pack also carries built-in over-charge and over-discharge protection, which is what protects both the battery and your charging routine.

Dual 100W Motors and 4.7 MPH

Two 100W motors (200W total) drive the car to 7.5 km/h / 4.7 mph, with two speed modes plus forward and reverse. Acceleration is deliberately smooth rather than snappy — soft start and soft stop ease the car in and out of motion, which keeps new drivers calm and the ride comfortable.

A Cockpit Built to Feel Like an F1 Car

The body is officially licensed, wearing the correct 2025 W16 livery and aerodynamic shape. Inside, the low-profile racing seat and single-seat cockpit put the driver low and forward, unlike the upright seating in a typical ride-on SUV. Steering is responsive and the layout mirrors a real race car, so the driving position itself is part of the experience.

Kids Drive, Parents Take Over When Needed

The 2.4GHz remote gives parents three speed settings plus forward and reverse. Kids can drive independently with their feet and steering, and you can take control the moment the car heads somewhere it shouldn't. This is the configuration that lets a 3-year-old use a 24V car safely — you're not choosing between their freedom and your peace of mind.

Stopping Power and Stability for Paved Surfaces

Safety hardware here is real: a two-point safety belt, rear spring suspension, and wear-resistant PP wheels. The low center of gravity and wide stance help the car feel planted through turns. It's built for pavement, driveway, and sidewalk — the surfaces where an F1-styled car makes the most sense.

A Dashboard With Music, Charging Info, and Lights

The cockpit includes Bluetooth, USB, and AUX input, a battery level display so you know when it's time to plug in, volume control, and a red LED taillight that adds a genuine racing touch at dusk. It's a complete little dashboard rather than a single horn button — and the battery display alone saves you from the “car died halfway down the block” conversation.

Super fun - best on flat concrete
With an active two year old, I appreciate toys that get kids outside. This Mercedes AMG F1 is a big step up from the basic little battery cars - the racing details, large rear wing and black and teal color really stand out. The remote is the feature I appreciate most as a parent, having adult control while they learn to steer and stop is huge. One honest note: the body sits very low so it's really made for flat concrete. It gets stuck easily in grass or dirt. The 24V is powerful, and one charge took about an hour to reach 100%. My almost 3 year old LOVES it. Best kept to a flat enclosed area with an adult watching.

Fun little F1 car with great details
Bought this for a young F1 fan and the Mercedes livery got my attention right away. Detail level is impressive for a kids toy, and the low seat makes it feel like a mini race car instead of a typical ride on. Twin motors give enough speed without being scary. The remote lets me control speed or steering while my child adjusts. Lithium battery charges way faster than our old ride-ons and runtime has been plenty. Bluetooth and lights are nice extras and the suspension handles slightly uneven pavement well. Big hit every time we take it out.

    Great parent controls
Tried this F1 car with my little one and it looks impressive in person. Racing body, detailed trim, LED lights, all of it reads like a miniature race car. My kid was obsessed with the steering wheel and the sporty seating. The 200W motor is plenty fun and the suspension smooths out uneven pavement. Lithium battery charges fast, which I really appreciate. The parental remote is my favorite part since I can guide it while he gets comfortable. Feels sturdy and well made for the price.

    Great looking little race car
The racing details are what stand out most - it looks fun even just parked in the garage. Assembly took some patience getting everything lined up but it was manageable. The low seating position really adds to the race car feel and the remote is handy while my daughter learns to steer. Love that there's a battery display so I can plan charging. Needs a decent open driveway to turn, it's long.

Fast and my son is obsessed
So much fun! My son won't get off it long enough for it to charge. It's quick, even indoors. Runs great on hardwood and concrete. Looks cool and feels very durable. Only thing is the price, a little high compared to what you see in stores, but the build quality shows.

    Fun, fast and safe
Assembly was really easy. My kids love it. You can switch between high and low speed and the remote lets you take over whenever needed. The accuracy of the design is amazing, looks and feels like a real race car. A bit expensive but the quality is worth it.

    Great quality
Love this little F1 car! Got it for my son and the details are amazing - LED lights, the shape, all of it makes it look like a real race car. Bluetooth music is a fun bonus and the remote lets me steer for him when he gets too excited. Spring suspension makes the ride smooth and the battery lasts long enough for a good play session. Feels much more special than a basic toy car.

Fun little race car with great parent controls
This one is a lot of fun and looks far more realistic than the typical kids electric car. The low seating position, steering setup and body shape make it feel like a miniature race car, which is great for kids into motorsports. Dual motors give enough power to be exciting without being aggressive, and the speed settings let you match the pace to your child. Soft start and rear suspension smooth out acceleration and bumps. The lithium battery charges much faster than the old lead acid style, so less waiting between rides. The remote is the most useful feature, full adult control over speed and direction while a younger child is learning. Seat belt, battery display and solid wheels are practical additions. Bluetooth and music inputs keep it entertaining and the LED lighting is a nice finish. Runtime covers a solid play session. Strong value for a premium ride-on.

FAQ

How is the lithium battery different from a normal ride-on battery?

It charges in 3–4 hours instead of 8–12, and it's lighter. Performance is specified to match a 24V 7Ah lead-acid pack, with 70–80 minutes of run time per charge.

What age is this Mercedes F1 car suited to?

It's rated for ages 3 and up, or roughly 37–95 months. It holds riders up to 66 lbs (30 kg) and 39 in (1 m) tall.

Can my child drive it alone, or do I have to use the remote?

Both. Kids can drive independently with the pedal and steering wheel, and you can take over with the 2.4G remote whenever you need to. Many parents start on remote-only and hand over control gradually.

How fast does it go?

Up to 7.5 km/h (4.7 mph), with two speed modes on the car and three on the remote, plus forward and reverse.

Is it safe on a sidewalk or driveway?

Yes — those are the surfaces it's designed for. It has rear spring suspension, wear-resistant wheels, and a two-point safety belt. It's low to the ground, which helps stability through turns.

Does it play music?

Yes — Bluetooth, USB, and AUX input are built in, along with volume control and a battery level display so you know when it needs charging.

How long does assembly take?

About 30–40 minutes. Front wing, wheels, and steering wheel attach with the included hardware.

Do I need to charge it overnight?

No, and that's the point. The lithium pack reaches full in 3–4 hours, so you can charge it between a morning and afternoon ride rather than waiting until the next day.
